Andromède (2012) Painting by Sophie Sirot

Born near Paris in 1964, Sophie enjoys drawing ever since she was little and it became her favorite pastime while on vacation at her grandmother’s house in Germany in the late 70s. Twenty years later, she discovers oil painting while practicing her art at her first easel. But the real click came in the summer of 2001 when the pleasure in creation took possession of her.
A self-taught artist, she learns techniques as she paints along and explores different styles. At first her creations were figurative and then became abstract in 2008. This now paves the way for her own future, which she pursues at a fast pace. Tirelessly, she tries out new approaches and her compositions offer constant renewal to the great delight of her visitors.

Like most artists, Sophie Sirot feels happiness when working in her workshop and this energy is reflected in her art.
