The painting was inspired by the beautiful woodland close to my home in East Sussex where bluebells grow in abundance. I decided to work on a small series of oil paintings exploring the elemental and natural world in the spring.
Other paintings in the Spring Elemental Collection include 'Spring Timekeeper Fairy' and 'Spring Bluebell Fairies'. There is also an Autumn Elemental Collection too.

Originally from Tonbridge, Kent, I was always making things as a child, my mother following me around the house with projects strewn everywhere. My grandparents were keen artists and gave me lots of encouragement.
In my early 20’s, I undertook a National Diploma course in Graphic Design and then went on to the Surrey Institute in Epsom to gain a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design. Following 13 years as a Graphic Designer, I decided to fulfil my dream of becoming a Lecturer and pass on what I'd learned. I undertook a PGCE at Northbrook College and gained employment at West Kent College, Ravensbourne and Nescot, where I lectured in Graphic Design, Art and Music. I thrived in helping adults young and old to make their dreams come true. I also unfolded my healing gifts through shamanic and reiki training.
Motherhood, enabled me to return to my own illustration and art projects. My most recent project has been to paint local landscapes that hold fond memories for me and bring great joy and British wildlife. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have...
