Informations sur l'animal
Un mérou peut mesurer jusqu’à 1m50 et peser 100kg. Le corps ovale et massif de cet impressionnant poisson est recouvert de petites écailles. On retrouve certaines espèces en Méditerranée. Ce gros poisson est autant apprécié des pêcheurs que des fins gastronomes. Victime de son succès, 1/4 de la population de mérous dans le monde était au bord de l’effondrement, en grande partie, à cause de la surpêche.
