Born on 07/09/1985 in Rennes (35), attached to the Breton capital, she lives and works in the Rennes metropolitan area. Always attracted by the arts and crafts, Solène Le Pavec trained in applied arts at the Institut Supérieure des Arts Appliqués (LISAA) in Rennes and Paris. She obtained a degree in graphic design with the subject of "Cabinet of Curiosities" followed by a master's degree in artistic direction. Since 2015, alongside her work as a designer, she has developed an increasingly marked attraction to the representation of nature and the marine world and indulges in various experiments with mediums, supports, and subjects. Naturalist plates, notably those of Ernst Haeckel, and entomological collections have long whetted her curiosity and influenced her artistic attraction to natural colors, shapes, and details. Her influences are Kandinsky, Salvador Dali, Egon Schiele, Japanese prints and terrestrial and underwater animal photos. She creates many illustrations and in particular realistic watercolors of animal or plant subjects. She also keeps a repertoire of motifs that she draws from nature. These motifs will give her the keys to begin her series of watercolors entitled "Metamorphosis".
Her diverse experiences in graphic design and artistic direction, as well as her expertise in applied arts, lead her to guide and support a creative design approach based on constraints, intuition, contrast, and decorative sense.
Since 2018, she has focused primarily on her own creations in the repertoires she loves, ranging from the underwater world to anatomy, insects, and botany.
She is notably embarking on a series of large acrylic paintings (1m x 1m) on the theme of jellyfish.
Her new abstract repertoire allows her to play with the colors she finds in nature and gives direction and logic to her paintings.
Solène Le Pavec also responds to commissions that allow her to further explore her creativity by challenging it.
An emerging artist, she exhibits her work to the general public in various locations in Rennes and its surrounding area.
His pronounced taste for the marine and plant world gives birth in each of his figurative & abstract paintings to luminous, contrasting and colorful living creations.
