'Three Red Poppies' is an acrylic painting on canvas. Nature, specially flowers inspire me to paint. I am a self taught artist and I like to experiment with colours and techniques. 'Three Red Poppies' is an acrylic painting on canvas.
Nature, specially flowers inspire me to paint. I am a self taught artist and I like to experiment with colours and techniques.
I chose a long canvas to paint the poppies. Red is my favorite color. On red petals of the flowers, I put firm strokes of lemon yellow mixed with white and a tint of skin color. Some burnt sienna I added to give the shadows.
The background is abstract, painted with verticals strokes of mix of blue, red, white colors, topped with gold and copper acrylic paints.
I use good quality canvas and paints to make my paintings.
This painting will be rolled in thick brown paper and put in a sturdy conical box, when shipped.

Welcome to my world of art! Art means joy, happiness....something which brings positive feelings. A painting is worth a thousand words.....and an artist speaks through her paintings. In every mundane things of life, I see art..... in the beauty of birds, in the smell of roses, in the cascading of waterfalls, in the calm waters of a river.....in the expressive eyes of a child, in the intensity of a human form and its emotions! I draw inspiration from all these. My art is all about portraying the good things in life and inspiration from nature. I hope to bring joy and positive feelings through my painting.
I am a self taught artist who loves to paint with oil, acrylic and water colours. I do sketches in charcoal too. Have done illustrations for the international award winning book 'Daggers of Treason' . Commissions are welcome.
