Slobodan Loncarevic

I was born on 10th of November 1960 in Podgorica, Montenegro.Here are some of the quote of art historian which was curator to my exhibition: "Abstract and asocial elements fulfill wall spaces, while figures exist in ambiances that revive renaissance architectural constructions, De Kirk metaphysics atmosphere and Dutch figural expressionism. Composition unity of unreal connotation is realized by bringing into connection realistic and imaginary, visual and fantastic, removing plans and superimposing various figural elements.'' I had 16 one-man exhibitions in Montenegro and one in Serbia.

Slobodan Loncarevic transforms his inner impulses into complex spheres of visual sensations. His work has been inspired by hidden meanings of different forms that surround us, bringing into connection realistic and imaginary, visual and fantastic.

The most dramatic metamorphoses are done on human faces, where outside manifestations reveal inside fears and anxiety. These works open a mystic scenario, which reflect imagination and fantasy in virtual landscapes.

Slobodan’s drawings reveal his spontaneous visual art manner and sense for linear rhythms and designs that represent a primary value of his paintings.
