Slankovskaya Svetlana Nikolaevna, works in a rare and unique author's technique. Taking as a basis the ancient technique of levkas used in icon painting, she created her own unique technique of multilayer left-handed relief.
The author’s plots are filled with light, the artist uses almost no shadows, which gives the paintings the charm of bright joy and lightness, so characteristic of the plots and the nature of the paintings by Svetlana Nikolaevna Slankovskaya.
The paintings glorify the cities of the Golden Ring of Russia, Temples and Monasteries, the Russian North. The wealth, fertility and abundance of Russian forests, personify the power and endless beauty of Russian nature, sing the history of Russian life - the holidays and life of the Russian people, the wealth and diversity of the peoples inhabiting such a huge and infinitely beautiful Russia. Russian fairy tales are told to children, revealing the hidden wisdom of a people that gives all the best to future generations. Each painting sings a hymn to the cultural greatness of Russia, preserving and developing traditions, making its own unique contribution to the cultural heritage of Russian art.
The author of 60 years of artistic experience, a participant in international, interregional, national and union exhibitions and competitions. In the Soviet period of her work, she actively collaborated with the Berezka chain of stores. Svetlana Nikolaevna Slankovskaya works are in private collections in Europe, Australia, the East and the USA. Author's technique has confirmed its resistance to time.
The author’s collection for the period includes more than 200 unique works.
