Throughout the history of western painting and photography art, art has been far away from the public for too long! Over the past 100 years, the self-emotional aesthetics of the extremely left leaning modernist are becoming more and more dominant, but they also divorced from the general aesthetics of the public. Photography is a well-loved art and deserves to be loved by the public. Impressionist photography has a wide range of subjects, which, like impressionist painting, comes from daily life, but technically places too much
emphasis on fuzzy technology to achieve the purpose of highlighting the main
impression.
Freud said that artistic impulse comes from the expression of subconsciousness.
The subconscious demand comes from Maslow’s five needs. Creating and appreciating art are both a way to achieve the need. Gestalt psychology research believes that the overall impact of photographs is greater than the sum of many components from the perspective of complex systems. In the creation process of abstract photography, the light-shadow, color blocks and geometric elements form dots, lines and planes in the image. The layout of the geometric of dot-line-planes can form a contrast, balance, and harmonious order based on the gestalt psychology. The change in the number of geometry of dot-line-planes can form
an abstract beauty similar to music. Few of the same geometry show a strong contrast of rhythm. A large number of the same geometric rhythm shows the contrast of the slow rhythm. A small number of different geometry form a big tune of the grand melody. A large number of point-line-planes form a complex network and the occurrence of the geometric form arithmetical sequence, geometric series, Fibonacci sequence, etc., so as to show the soft beauty of minor tones to varying degrees. In addition to the mathematical characteristics of geometric occurrence times, there are many more parameters that deserve further study.
New impressionist photographer feels the picture of flowers, birds and human emotions, and empathizes with animals, plants and human beings. Through Impressionist themes, and forms of abstract photography and surreal forms, it activates the audience’s subconscious and arouses resonance. Photographers spread the feelings and emotions of beauty, mainly including visual formal beauty, internal emotional beauty and social moral beauty.
Different from the extreme right-wing realism, new impressionist photography meet the needs of photographers’ emotional expression. Different from the extreme left-wing modernism, new impressionist photography can also serve the public’s aesthetics, adding beauty to the public in the trivial and tedious daily life, and adding a little romantic and idealistic light to the mundane realism.
