"Fine-Arts" prints on paper
It is a process of printing on art paper using very high-quality pigment inks and printed in very high definition. Its level of conservation is exceptional (more than 100 years), its quality, depth, and richness of nuances exceeds the classic photo print on Argentic paper.

Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. It is used by major museums worldwide as it offers excellent resolution, rendering deep and dense colors.

Simon is based in the ancient city of Leicester in the United Kingdom. For the last 20 years Simon worked as a painter – mostly in acrylics – and as a printmaker practicing stone lithography, screen printing and intaglio.
[There is a VIDEO of Simon talking about his work and his background pinned to the top of the news that you can access via the News tab above.]
Most of Simon’s work is based on the places to which he has travelled.... including the Mediterranean, the Americas, Asia and the Far East. His work incorporates the food, vegetation and the patterns in local tiles and fabrics - to create a kind of mood-board to capture the impression, and ambience of a place. The paintings are reasonably large so that are more immersive.
Simon says: “When we visit places… we create memories of our experiences and how we feel – and of the people we shared the time with. I hope that my pictures will help you to look back at your own memories.”
“I live in the UK - a place I don’t paint because I know it so well that it holds no mystery for me - yet other places I visit, I can see with ‘beginners eyes’.”
“In a previous life was a leader in tech companies. I loved my work and the people I worked with; but I discovered that it is creating art that gives me a sense of flow and of total absorption that makes me happy.”
Simon paints in heavy acrylics with a matte medium as he likes the ability to paint in semi-transparent layers and textures.
Simon shares his background: “Both my parents were from Manchester and so all my DNA is from that city, yet I never lived there as was born in Oxford. I am an identical twin; and in the first few weeks of lives our mother was ill yet the lady who took care of us often mixed us up. So, I may be Simon or I may be Peter. In fact an accident while in Simon’s cot left a scar on my arm so that’s what fixed me as Simon. Yet, had I not settled on being Simon, I wonder if my life, my experiences and my art may have been different?”
Simon’ work has often returned to the theme of twins over the years
Simon is keen to receive messages to let him know what you feel about his work; or if there's a special place that you would like him to paint especially for you.
