It is a process of printing on art paper using very high-quality pigment inks and printed in very high definition. Its level of conservation is exceptional (more than 100 years), its quality, depth, and richness of nuances exceeds the classic photo print on Argentic paper.
Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. It is used by major museums worldwide as it offers excellent resolution, rendering deep and dense colors.

On distingue deux acrobates, un homme (de dos) et une femme visiblement debout sur un trapèze et enlacés. J'ai cadré en utilisant un plan américain afin d'accorder de l'importance aux deux personnages en action. J'exclue ainsi l'environnement de la photo pour ne garder que mon sujet principal et en extraire l'émotion de la scène. Ainsi, dans un climat dramatique, émouvant, on entre avec sensibilité dans l'espace intime du couple. Le format rectangulaire de l'image et son orientation horizontale donnent une sensation de douceur, de paix, de sérénité.
Pour construire l'image, j'ai utilisé l'avant-bras gauche du trapéziste comme ligne de force. Les lignes directrices sont définies par les cordes du trapèze mais aussi par les bras des deux acrobates (vertical pour l'homme, horizontal pour la femme). Leur association apporte de l'équilibre à la composition, tel qu'ils le sont sur le trapèze. On est dans un rythme plutôt statique, calme et stable, comme si le temps était suspendu... On relève d'autre part la forme géométrique rectangulaire et verticale qui encadre le couple (les cordes du trapèze avec les bords de la photo) exprimant la force, la puissance et l'unité des deux corps.
Tous les plans de l'image sont volontairement nets afin de montrer l'aspect solide et vigoureux de l'instant saisi.
La scène est naturellement éclairée par le soleil (puisqu'on est en extérieur) de manière diffuse ce qui permet de détailler les ombres, de mettre en relief la forme des corps, et d'en adoucir les traits. J'ai choisi un traitement en noir et blanc pour apporter de l'esthétisme à la photographie. Il me permet aussi de dramatiser le sujet, de renforcer la sensation de mélancolie, d'apporter de l'émotion et du contraste entre force et fragilité. On est ici en équilibre parfait.
