Sergey Miqayelyan, urodzony 28 lipca 1976 r. w Erywaniu w Armenii, jest współczesnym artystą znanym ze swojego mistrzostwa w malarstwie olejnym. Jego pasja do sztuki rozpaliła się w młodym wieku, gdy zaczął zgłębiać malarstwo olejne mając zaledwie dziewięć lat. Zaangażowanie Miqayelyana w swoje rzemiosło było widoczne już na początku, co zaowocowało uzyskaniem dyplomu drugiego stopnia na pierwszym All-Union Exhibition Festival, który odbył się w latach 1995–1997. Dalej doskonalił swoje umiejętności, studiując pod okiem cenionego artysty Kotanjyana w lokalnym studiu malarskim.
W 1999 roku Miqayelyan ukończył College of the Arts, gdzie rozwinął swój charakterystyczny styl artystyczny. Od 2009 roku jest członkiem Artists' Union of Armenia z siedzibą w Erywaniu.
