Sergey Miqayelyan, born on July 28, 1976, in Yerevan, Armenia, is a contemporary artist renowned for his mastery in oil painting. His passion for art ignited at a young age, as he began exploring oil painting at just nine years old. Miqayelyan's commitment to his craft was evident early on, earning him a diploma of the second degree at the first All-Union Exhibition Festival, held from 1995 to 1997. He further honed his skills by studying under the guidance of the esteemed artist Kotanjyan at a local painting studio.
In 1999, Miqayelyan graduated from the College of the Arts, where he developed his distinctive artistic style. Since 2009, he has been a member of the Artists' Union of Armenia, based in Yerevan. Miqayelyan's body of work spans various subjects, with a particular focus on portraits, many of which he completes by commission. His technical proficiency and expressive portrayal of human emotion have made his portrait work highly sought after.
Miqayelyan has participated in numerous exhibitions, contributing significantly to the Armenian art scene. His art continues to inspire audiences, capturing both human emotion and the rich cultural heritage of Armenia through his expressive and skillful portraiture.
