I'm a graphic designer teaching Illustration and Computer Art at the University of Fine Arts in Istanbul.
Since 1986 I have worked with computers. My works are painted in Photoshop on a Macintosh PPC.
I never use scanners or any other resources to start with. I start my paintings on a blank Photoshop page, as I did on an empty canvas in my pre-computer days.
I don't see a big difference between the digital and conventional methods in creating a work of art.
Just watch what is coming out on your canvas or monitor. That's it...
When I observe my finished work , I see a quarrel between the natural livings and the civilized ones (who think the world belongs to them only and keep on destroying it.) The desire of peace and natural living is coming out instinctively on my monitor (or let's say canvas).
