This painting is particularly close to my heart. It completes the series “Munch: My Retrospective (Pikachu)”, started in 2021 and presenting Pokémon on stage in the very famous “The Scream”. This painting is particularly close to my heart. It completes the series “Munch: My Retrospective (Pikachu)”, started in 2021 and presenting Pokémon on stage in the very famous “The Scream”.
Provoking the collision between “classic” art and pocket monsters seems obvious to me. The impact of Pokémon in our society, but especially in my life, is too strong not to bear witness to on canvas.
I make a special effort to paint with a brush on this type of project, because I come from a Graffiti Street Art background, and I much prefer rougher, less polished methods.

Since that moment, I have taken an artistic direction that suits me. The artisanal design of stencils allows me to reconnect with the range of graffiti artists that I loved so much during my adolescence.
During numerous exhibitions in 2022, I had the chance to have met people with the same sensibilities as me, collectors who vibrate with the same nostalgia for Pokémon and collectibles with a link to this universe. We too have the right to have our favorite icons on large format canvas.
