Jivko Sedlarski is a contemporary award-winning Bulgarian sculptor. Women or the "everlasting myth of woman" inspire a lot of his work. Sedlarski is also drawn to the worlds of fashion and Haute Couture, as well as medical anatomy, for inspiration. Many of his large-scale sculptures include free-standing metallic costumes that appear to be from another world. He works in a variety of media, including bronze, stone, and resin.
Jivko Sedlarski was born in 1958, in Bulgaria, where he graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts, Sofia. He lives and works in France.
