The crocodile, a creature that has long fascinated me with its primal power and stealthy grace. The theme revolves around the juxtaposition of the wild, untamed forces of nature and the sleek, polished world of modernity. The crocodile, a symbol of raw survival and ancient wisdom, is reimagined here in a medium that represents the cutting - edge of modern materials.
My inspiration for "the Crocodile" stemmed from countless encounters with nature and a deep - seated desire to bridge the gap between the natural and the man - made. I was captivated by the crocodile's ability to lie in wait, a silent observer in its habitat, embodying a sense of patience and power. Translating this essence into a stainless - steel sculpture was a challenge I eagerly embraced.
The creative process began with extensive research and observation of crocodiles in their natural environment. I studied their every movement, the texture of their skin, and the way they interacted with their surroundings. Then, I embarked on a series of sketches to capture the essence of their form. Working closely with skilled metalworkers, we used advanced techniques to shape the stainless steel into the intricate, hollowed - out structure you see today. The mirror - finish not only adds a touch of elegance but also reflects the ever - changing world around it, creating a dynamic interplay between the sculpture and its environment.
An interesting fact about this artwork is that the hollowed - out design is not just an aesthetic choice but also a nod to the transparency and vulnerability that exist within the seemingly impenetrable exterior of the crocodile. It invites viewers to look beyond the surface and consider the deeper layers of meaning. In the world of stainless - steel modern sculptures and animal metal sculptures, "the Crocodile" stands as a unique expression of my artistic vision, a piece that hopes to inspire contemplation and wonder about our relationship with nature.

Sebastian Novaky, a contemporary German Pop artist born in 1986 in Düsseldorf, is renowned for his unique approach to sculpture. After studying at the National School of Fine Arts, he embarked on a journey that would redefine the boundaries of modern art.

Influenced by luminaries like Jeff Koons, Takashi Murakami, and Robert Indiana, Novaky operates under the signature "New Wild" ethos. This philosophy is not just an artistic style but a way of life that seeks to transform negative impulses into positive emotions. His works, predominantly crafted from industrial materials such as resin, stainless - steel, corten steel, marble, and bronze, are a testament to his ability to blend the mundane with the extraordinary.

Novaky's favorite subjects, including monumental and decorative animals like lions, dragons, and black panthers, are rendered as polished, monochromatic totems. These sculptures are not mere representations but rather reflections of the more instinctive and impulsive aspects of human nature, refined through the pursuit of perfection.

Since 2014, he has been ranked among the top 10 best - selling modern artists in the world by Art Price, a testament to his global appeal. His works have graced numerous prestigious institutions and art fairs worldwide, including the Art Elysées, Art Paris, Artiferia in Bologna, INCEPTION Gallery, and Opera Gallery.

Novaky's sculptural style is a masterful blend of figurative art with a distinct, almost imperceptible sense of high fashion. His talent, skill, and lifelong dedication are evident in every piece, as he effortlessly combines vivacious energy with a jewel - like attention to detail, creating instantly recognizable works of art that are both beautiful collectibles and loving modern decorations. In his art, he encapsulates the beauty and wonder of his subjects, inviting viewers to see the world through his extraordinary eye.
