Standing in front of the Tower of Pisa, most tourists take a standard pose for a photo, namely simulating supporting the tower. I used one such tourist to take him out of his usual context and put him in an indeterminate environment where he was no longer propping anything up. What he is supposedly supporting here is now completely immanent. On the one hand, we have an imitation of support, and on the other hand, what supports does not exist. A self-delusion. It is as if what supports has already fallen, only he has not yet realized it. It is very easy to draw a parallel with the unstable situation the EU finds itself in today and the self-reflection of European societies, which are increasingly imitating rather than supporting this leaning tower.
