Oluwadare Kolawole Samson, known by his artistic name Olu Samson, is a contemporary Nigerian painter known for his mastery of color configuration and the ability to transform geometric figures into realistic representations. He earned his first tertiary education certificate in Art and Industrial Design, with a specialization in painting, from the Polytechnic Ibadan, Department of Art, Design Printing, and Technology. His artworks captivate viewers with their dynamic and exuberant compositions, offering an exciting kinetic experience.
As a color field painter, Olu Samson favors oil and acrylic mediums, utilizing an innovative and complex palette. He meticulously mixes over 25 different oil paints to achieve the precise colors in his paintings. Olu Samson's talent has been showcased in various exhibitions, including the ADAPTSA exhibition at the Polytechnic Ibadan in 2017 and the Drum Festival exhibition in 2018. Notably, he participated in the Talentila Foundation Art Competition in India, where he achieved second place among 873 participants from over 53 countries.
