Con la serie Lanscape continuo la ricerca cominciata negli INTERIORS, che riguarda, più che un aspetto descrittivo o rappresentativo, quello atmosferico.
Cerco e continuo a cercare l'atmosfera che ci circonda. L'emozione, la sensazione, l'intuizione. Come fosse aria. Invece che in ambienti interni questa ricerca si rivolge a paesaggi dove l'occhio si può perdere.
Paesaggi con orzzonti lontani e sfumati, nevulosi.
E tra tante atmosfere quella musicale è il mio faro. Unica arte inconsitente, che si diffonde nell'etere, ma che ci coinvolge e ci trascina subito.
Cerco e continuo a cercare l'atmosfera che ci circonda. L'emozione, la sensazione, l'intuizione. Come fosse aria. Invece che in ambienti interni questa ricerca si rivolge a paesaggi dove l'occhio si può perdere.
Paesaggi con orzzonti lontani e sfumati, nevulosi.
E tra tante atmosfere quella musicale è il mio faro. Unica arte inconsitente, che si diffonde nell'etere, ma che ci coinvolge e ci trascina subito.

Cerco spazi capaci di ospitare il mio bisogno di raccoglimento.
Allora, ciò che può apparire fatiscente e desolato mi ricorda il passare del tempo, che modella, logora, sfigura superfici e oggetti, perché nulla è immutabile.
Anche l’attesa segna il fluire del tempo come una porta in procinto di aprirsi oppure di chiudersi, o come una sedia, vuota dopo essere stata lasciata o per ricevere nuovi astanti sconosciuti.
Della presenza umana appaiono solo tracce in ambienti apparentemente chiusi, perché la luce, anche quando la sua fonte è nascosta, riesce sempre ad aprirsi un varco rivelando guasti, crepe simili a cicatrici, ma pure forme e colori, quasi avesse il potere di restituire bellezza ed armonia alle contraddizioni sedimentate nei recessi dell’anima.
I search places for my need of recollection.
What appear to me crumbling and desolate reminds me the passing of time, because nothing is immutable.
Even the waiting marks the flow of time, like a door that are opening or closing, or like a chair, empty after being left.
About the human presence appears only traces in apparently closed rooms, because the light, even its source is hidden, manages to open always a breach revealing cracks similar to scars, but also shapes and colors, as if it had the power to restore beauty and harmony to the contradictions sedimented in the recesses of the soul.
Allora, ciò che può apparire fatiscente e desolato mi ricorda il passare del tempo, che modella, logora, sfigura superfici e oggetti, perché nulla è immutabile.
Anche l’attesa segna il fluire del tempo come una porta in procinto di aprirsi oppure di chiudersi, o come una sedia, vuota dopo essere stata lasciata o per ricevere nuovi astanti sconosciuti.

Biography
Salvatore Cocca is a contemporary Italian painter born and raised in Turin, within the Milan Barrier of the 1970s. For Cocca, art and painting serve as a sanctuary—a place of solace, hope, and profound passion. Predominantly self-taught, he nurtures a deep curiosity and enthusiasm for art, particularly painting and comics. His journey into the world of illustration began at twenty, where he studied alongside seasoned professionals, including Luigi Togliatto, a master of traditional workshop painting who deeply influenced him. Their friendship flourished, leading Cocca to spend several years in Togliatto's studio absorbing invaluable knowledge.
Driven by a quest for places that satisfy his restless yet comforting needs, Cocca explores themes within his "Interior" series. His paintings blend surreal yet recognizable imagery, imbued with a poignant sense of melancholy and solitude. Through vibrant colors, interplay of light and shadows, Cocca evokes emotions of abandonment, restlessness, and tranquility. His work marries imaginative flair with technical prowess, reminiscent of the immediacy and precision found in photographic imagery.
