Sachith De Silva

Sachith de Silva is an experienced surface print designer for screen printing with over 25 years history in the trade. He has studied print design fundamentals in Japan from 1989 to 1990. His way of expressing his response to these objects is through drawing and painting includes Portrait, Figure, Still-life, Landscape. 

The considered setting up of a still life is a crucial part of his process. He generally focuses on the objects themselves, how they relate to each other and the space in which they sit. When painting he pursues the development of these relationships through constant looking, contemplating, redrawing and color adjusting. 

In 2020 Sachith started painting on a daily basis from life, mainly still life and figure painting. Currently he is a member of 2020 Group (Sri Lankan Representational Art) formed in 2020. 

AWARDS / ACHIEVEMENTS 

2018 - 10 finalists at "Abinandani" Art category conducted by MAS holdings 2008 - 1st place for Christmas Art Competition conducted by Star Garments 2003 - 1st place for the Logo design competition for AIDS sponsored by TNL Radio
