I bought a BING carburetor about a year ago, I had the idea to reproduce it in ceramic.
I am not a ceramist or a sculptor, I am just a fan of engines and manual work.
I had this idea because I know that many people love BMWs and everything that goes around them.
Initially it seemed like a crazy idea, certainly it is also senseless, but honestly I do not care.
From the original piece I created a plaster mold that allows me to make more pieces in series.
I wanted to leave it incomplete, without the top cover, or other details, because I liked it that way, it is a second variant.

The carburetor is created using melted clay (slip) poured into the mold, once dry the piece is cooked at about 1000 °.
If you are interested it is possible to purchase the piece, the processing times to have the finished piece are about twenty days (drying and cooking) you can ask me questions or requests, the carburetor can be colored before cooking.
In this case the color is raw simply darkened with walnut mordant. Any imperfections are natural of the ceramic being made, and indicate a hand-made work.
Internally the artifact is empty, as can be seen in the photograph.
The carburetor is fixed to a wooden table, there is the possibility of fixing it to an iron base via a pin fixed in the lower part.
