Ruiz De Azúa Juan Carlos is a contemporary Spanish painter, sculptor, and designer whose work is deeply rooted in the avant-garde movements of the early twentieth century. His art is driven by a constant evolution in artistic expressions, which fuels his discourse within contemporary art.

Currently, Juan Carlos engages with oil painting, sculpture, and photomontage, addressing a wide range of themes, with a notable focus on social and ecological issues. He is committed to the role of artists in reflecting and responding to societal and environmental concerns. His materials of choice include acrylics, oils, and inks, complemented by techniques used in graphic design, such as poster creation, collage, and photomontage.

His artistic training began at the age of 11 and was formally developed at the School of Arts and Crafts in Vitoria-Gasteiz, where he studied drawing, charcoal, plaster statue copies, and oil painting for six years. Between the ages of 24 and 35, Juan Carlos held 14 solo and group exhibitions, while also dedicating time to studio work and presenting his art on online platforms.

In sculpture, Juan Carlos explores various materials such as clay, plaster, and other moldable substances, mastering techniques in modeling, casting, and patinas. These skills enable him to create works that engage with space, volume, and emptiness, adding depth to his artistic expression.
