Rosie Harper is a natural talanted artist with a flair for the unusual. Her fascination with colour and light is highlighted through her abstract works. She possesses an innate ability to translate feelings, moods and images into stunning paintings that offer a new discovery from every angle.
She is able to work with all media types, but loves oils, since the textured finish they deliver is expertly exploited by Rosie on her subjects, particularly in her landscapes. Her infectious humour touches everyone she encounters and is reflected in the subjects and titles of her figurative work.

"I have always been a little mad and a bit of a nightmare, so I may as well put it to good use. I suppose. I just want people to buy my paintings before I am dead, so I can say Thank You!' My art changes from day to day depending upon my mood. I play a lot with colours and try new techniques to see what results occur. I think my art depicts me quite a lot - as anyone who knows me would confirm! I usually have several paintings that I am working on around me as I find this keeps my imagination running. I like to try new things and I am currently experimenting with acrylics. My first love however are oils!
My work is mainly oil or acrylic on canvas with a preference to paint large, bright and bold images that have an underlying meaning to not only myself, but to each viewer. My style’s can range from a mixture of Art Deco and Nouveau, but with a softer, romantic approach, to hard and harsh abstracts, with lots of textures and movement. Mostly, my work tries to convey a message or story from my life within each piece. These have been hidden from view for far too long and have now escaped into the freedom of a blank canvas and a loaded brush.

You will own a 'One Off Original Artwork'. I use PayPal on all sales which is safe and secure and will also exchange currency rates so that you can pay in complete confidence.
Commissions are welcome and I have had the honour to paint some wonderful pieces conjured up by some wonderful people. I have even been known to re-create a piece of Clarice Cliff pottery into a stunning abstract painting for a collector, the ideas are boundless!
