Ferris Wheel (2021) Photography by Ron Kramer
"Fine-Arts" prints on paper
It is a process of printing on art paper using very high-quality pigment inks and printed in very high definition. Its level of conservation is exceptional (more than 100 years), its quality, depth, and richness of nuances exceeds the classic photo print on Argentic paper.

Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. It is used by major museums worldwide as it offers excellent resolution, rendering deep and dense colors.

The image centers on a gently curving cobblestone street, completely deserted and lined with glowing street lamps. On the far side, a warmly lit restaurant hints at life beyond the frame, yet the mood remains peaceful and untouched.
At the curve's end, a roughly 30-meter-high Ferris wheel becomes the unexpected focal point. Illuminated in intense neon violet, with gondolas glowing neon blue, it towers above the surrounding small buildings — appearing almost surreal in size and color. A symbol of festivity and motion, it adds contrast and a modern twist to the otherwise tranquil setting.
The sky above Kühlungsborn enhances this contrast: heavy gray clouds stretch across the horizon, broken by openings that reveal patches of fading daylight. This juxtaposition — between the stormy edge of the day and the vibrant light of the Ferris wheel — creates a glowing, emotionally charged composition.
More than just a depiction of place, this photograph tells a story of contrast: between silence and spectacle, tradition and light-driven modernity.

His focus lies in architectural photography and a unique approach to urban imagery, which he documents as part of an ongoing visual series. Professionally, he specializes in product photography – from makeup items to vehicles. While he occasionally photographs people, he prefers to concentrate on other, less conventional subjects.
Through close collaboration with other photographers, Ron has refined his editing skills to a high level. He transforms raw images into visual artworks that express his personal aesthetic and artistic vision. Before capturing a photograph – especially in cities like Frankfurt – he often engages in extensive research: studying the city's history, changes in streets and buildings, and future developments in urban planning. This deep understanding allows him to contribute an informed and deliberate perspective to his work.
Ron draws inspiration from the pioneers of photography as well as from classical painters. He integrates knowledge from both fields to develop a strong sense of image composition, which he applies thoughtfully in his creative process. The quote by Eckhart Tolle, “Don’t believe everything you think,” has become a guiding principle in his artistic journey – a reminder to question assumptions and remain reflective. This mindset informs the deeper meaning behind his images.
For Ron, photography is more than capturing moments – it is the art of creating images that unite technique and creativity in perfect balance. His work – particularly the fusion of architecture and street photography – tells visual stories that are both aesthetically compelling and decoratively enriching.
