Roman
Nach einer bereits von kreativen Aktivitäten geprägten Kindheit in München und einem anschließend absolvierten Schulabschluss sowie einer Ausbildung zum Grafikdesigner folgten schon bald die ersten Ausstellungen. Anfänglich inspiriert von Street Art und klassischem Surrealismus wurden bereits in frühen Jahren Verkäufe durch diverse Auftragsarbeiten und Portraits erzielt.
Stets interessiert an Geschichte und Kultur begann Roman (auch echter Zweitname des Künstlers) sich in den späten 90ér Jahren autodidaktisch fortzubilden und studierte die Werke alter Meister wie die von Michelangelo, Rembrandt oder auch Picasso.
Der Computer als potenzielles Werkzeug für künstlerischen Ausdruck wurde zudem entdeckt und so entstanden 3D-Animationen, Videospiel-Kunstprojekte und Collagen.
Es folgten viele weitere Ausstellungen auf der ganzen Welt, sowohl in traditionellen Gallerien als auch über zahlreiche Platformen im Internet (mit an erster Stelle den hauseigenen Vertriebskanal GOBBOGOES.COM).
Das Werk des Künstlers basiert auf Zeichnungen in einem sehr eigenwilligen Stil.
Der sensible und zugleich kräftige Strich bringt die oftmals ironischen, teils spöttischen Motive in Form. Kritisch und klassisch zugleich wird die Dekadenz unserer Zeit bis ins Lächerliche gezogen und vor dem Hintergrund der Schönheit von Natur und Kulturerbe präsentiert.

Politics in art? Yes, please, but...
It seems that temporary art has to be political at all costs, looking at the acclaimed pieces at almost every festival these days. Why?! Every democratic person should cast their vote, but that's it and artistic activity doesn't start here! You can find politics everywhere in art history, everywhere, but there was so much more! It is time to revisit these forgotten aspects.
The painting “Les Demoiselles d’Avignon” by Picasso from 1907 (MoMA, New York) marks the beginning of analytical cubism and is the first piece of modern art. The painting shows five naked women and some fruit underneath, nothing more and nothing less. Wake up, that was something poetic! Even “Guernica” (Museo Reina Sofía, Madrid), painted 30 years later and deeply political, still has this small window in the top right corner, a symbol of hope and freedom. And that's exactly what it's all about: freedom. Why does art today primarily express something political?! As a normal citizen, you have to deal with this all day long anyway. And I for my part as an artist prefer to show what you can see in the window...
The Fun Factor in visual art
You can find it in Mozarts 'The Marriage of Figaro' that is a 'commedia per musica' or "comic opera"
or in Shakespeares comedies like "As You Like It": the Fun Factor!
But it's not only literature, it seems that even the painter Carl Spitzweg from the Biedermeier Romantic era had already a pretty mockingly field of view in his life, and during the 20th century, messages of sublime and critical humor can be found in visual art movements such as Dadaism and Surrealism.
In 1986 Andy Warhol was dedicated the article 'An Artist and his Amiga' for Amiga World and he was interviewed for that. His response to the question of whether the COMPUTER plays an increasingly important role in art was: 'Uh, yeah, I think that after graffiti art, they probably will.' and 'An artist can realy do the whole thing. Actually, he can make a film with everything on it, music and sound and art...everything.'
And that's the crucial point today. Everyone knows that even graffiti art can be fun, but what about working with computers? I mean, how can they contribute to contemporary art? Warhol said that an artist can do the whole thing with it. A whole thing can be so much more than a film, comedy interactive for example. Todays artist have the possibilities to tell interactive, visual stories on our screens. This is, again, literary comedy, no, it's literally a game changer! What really makes the difference is the combination of this narrative part, the graphics and the sound to get something completely new thanks to its interactivity! A video game made by an individual can be the expression of visual art.
The Graffiti was not the end for humorous art, because computers can bring it to the next level too.

Serious portraits
Although my portraits could be described as realistic, they are made in the same way as everything else I do. The form and drawing style never change and there is nothing that couldn't be exaggerated. Often it's just a thin line that keeps things serious, but sometimes I cross it too.

The water slide park
The mural graffiti was commissioned for a ten-year-old boy's bedroom. Painted with acrylic colours, we're talking about a total of 35 hours of hard work, but also a lot of fun.

Artificial intelligence will never replace the artist. The structure of a classic drawing, for example, is generally different. While the AI generates an image from a library of predefined elements, the artist begins drawing from scratch. And considering the use of programs like ChatGPT as an artistic tool it must be said that the result would be a compromise. Conventional hand-drawn, line-by-line shapes (and I'm talking about the entire process of creating a work of art) are simply something different. However, even the nature of digital art obviously always has its place in today's culture and nothing will change the situation. Essential is the difference, and I repeat, the freely chosen structure with its complexity that reflects the soul of our human being.
