Rodolfo V Ortiz
Rodolfo V. Ortiz, Spanish / American Artist / painter. Feb 24/65, Barcelona Spain. Born to Dolores Rodriguez Mendez, and Otilio Ortiz Margarida who was a U.S. Citizen.
As a self-taught artist / painter I believe that an artist work should reflect on its own and without the help from any one from the art-world as a good work of art will most likely give you the sense of having a soul of its own but most importantly, the ability to get its message across. I have been inspired and moved by different artists specially at the beginning of my career, of course I will also have to say that growing up in New York City, also had a big impact on my work as well, I mean what better place to learn the arts than New York City.
My goal has always been to create something different and unique, a work that can be defined as one of a kind and that can easily be distinguished from one another by just observing it and without the need for the artist signature on the artwork. I myself call it Cubist Rope, and that was exactly what I have always been trying to accomplish, so there’s more to my work than just a signature on a canvas. I do art because that’s what I do and is part of me, and most importantly it fulfills me as a painter. I also suffer from a rare artistic condition known as, (Creativity Syndrome) and there’s no general medicine nor cure for it but to keep on making art, just joking. I also fingerprint all of my canvases on the reverse for authenticity purpose; I don’t consider myself an Amateur Artist / Emerging Artist / Mid-Career Artist nor an Established Artist, I am just an Artist / Painter who works hard at improving my skills as a painter and I take art very seriously, so no banana taped to a wall here.
Artistic Style
Rodolfo Valentino Ortiz (RVO) is known for his unique “Cubist Rope” technique and style, which blends elements of Cubism with his own innovative approach. Here are some key aspects of his technique.
Cubist Influence: RVO’s work is heavily influenced by Cubism, this involves breaking down objects into geometric shapes and presenting multiple viewpoints simultaneously.
Rope Motif: The “Rope” in his artwork often symbolizes connection and continuity. It is a recurring element that ties different parts of the composition together, creating a sense of unity and flow.
(RVO) primarily uses oil paints on canvas, which allows for rich textures and vibrant colors. This medium also supports the detailed and layered approach characteristic of his work.
Style: Geometric Abstraction: His style features a strong emphasis on geometric shapes and abstract forms. This abstraction helps to convey complex ideas and emotions in a visually engaging way.
Dynamic Composition: RVO’s compositions are dynamic and often asymmetrical, drawing the viewer’s eye across the canvas and encouraging a deeper exploration of the artwork.

Thank you.
Hi, I like to take a moment here to thank each and every one of you for following me and for taking the time to look at some of my work and commenting on it as well, here I found more and more the encouragement to keep creating more art, it is also so inspiring to me to get this kind of feedback from fellow artists whose work are also beautiful and inspiring to me, also Your support is very important to me, it allows me to continue creating and sharing content with all of you, and to all my fellow artists out there just remember that is not easy taking this type of journey in to the art world but I also know that for some of us is the only thing that really matters in life besides loving god and knowing him of course. Thanks again. RVO
