Richard was born in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, United States. He began drawing at age three. Proximity to the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute as well as art museums in Boston and New York provided inspiration to pursue his passion for creating art. In 1987, he earned a B.A. in Fine Art from Castleton University. He went on to earn an M.B.A from the University of Phoenix and a private pilot’s license. His subjects range from old west themes of cowboys and Native Americans to landscapes and seascapes/
