The scene and my original photograph needed some extra feelings infused into an already iconic harbour scene. A few sail ships moored alongside provided scale and good balance but with little emotional connection. The morning mist created a strange ethereal glow which I loved and which dramatically increased with some digital painting methods including textures and layers giving the final image a much more interesting appearance.
