Ricardo Carvalheira

Ricardo Lago Carvalheira, an engineer and visual artist, was born in Recife, Pernambuco. He was self-taught in his wood crafts (small sculptures). Since he was a child, he has shown a tendency towards the arts in general, both in crafts created and/or sculpted by him, as well as in creative drawings, showing a spontaneous surrealism. Over the years, he has improved his skills related to music, drawing, sculptures and painting.
Today, he participates in some collective and individual exhibitions, having done artistic work for some clients, such as: Secretaria da Fazenda/ PE. He participated for five years in the project “Olinda Arte em Toda Parte” (Olinda Art Everywhere), these exhibitions took place for eleven years, an event that opened the doors of the studios on the slopes of the Historic Site simultaneously every year.
He has lived in several cities, such as: São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Olinda and Recife. Graduated in Mechanical Engineering, a specialty in which he develops various works such as: projects, maintenance, processes and assemblies. Currently, in the Arts, her work is exclusively directed to paintings, both acrylic and plastic, using the Hobbymania studio where she improves her techniques with the master painter Leo Luna.
