Happy birthday to Willem de Kooning ?
Today 2020.04.24 marks the 116th anniversary of the birth of my favorite The Great Abstract Expressionist Willem de Kooning born on this day in 1904.
I painted this painting in the style of de Kooning by that date.

I am grateful that I been trained "In the Studio: Postwar Abstract Painting. - Willem de Kooning Studio Exercise - by The Museum of Modern Art" for two reasons.
First of all, Abstract Expressionism post–World War II art movement attracts me the most, and as it seems to me, I understand and perceive it most of all from all other styles and movements. The second reason for which I immediately decided that I would study this course is the teacher - Corey D'Augustine. I admire not only his knowledge but also the unsurpassed skill of the teacher. Always essentially informative, interesting, and very intelligible he explains every lesson.
I really began to develop a deeper appreciation of the artists' works, acquired new skills, and inspired to create new works.

Here's my interpretation of Willem de Kooning:

Oil, Charcoal, Pastel, Alkyd Gloss Enamel oil/solvent-based paints, Gloss Varnish on canvas.
No stretcher-bar included. While framing the painting, approximately 7 cm of each side should be considered as a deduction on the final result. After stretching the canvas on a stretcher-bar the sides will be in relevant colors, so there is no need for an additional frame.
To have the painting stretched is a relatively inexpensive process from your local framer.
