One foot or Kayak into some of these places so close to home, it’s like entering a new world. A thriving ecosystem lives there, untouched and so peaceful. Its ability to let me disconnect and melt away really stuck with me and I turn to it when I need it most. It’s become a huge influence in my artwork. I hope to capture those moments where I can find tranquility and invite others to feel the same way.

Renee Brown, a New York-Based emerging artist delved into photorealism while earning her BFA at the Hartford Art School. Following her degree, she attended the Summer Undergraduate Residency at the New York Academy of Art and has since exhibited her work across the east coast. Her work was recently granted 1st and 2nd place in the 10th Annual “All Women’s” exhibition at Light Space and Time Online Gallery. Born and raised on Long Island, she is often inspired by the beautiful landscape around her. It allows her to disconnect and connect to nature.
