The piece is meticulously hand-painted with acrylics and sealed with multiple layers of marine-grade yacht varnish, giving it a radiant, durable finish. Its polished surface and saturated hue evoke both vulnerability and resilience, making the work resonate on emotional and cultural levels.
Working under the artist name MoRe, Renate Molsner (b. 1962, Hamburg) brings a uniquely international perspective to her practice, shaped by formative years in Berlin, Barcelona, Beijing and beyond. Her artistic vision is deeply rooted in the interplay between impermanence and transformation. Drawing inspiration from the raw aesthetics of street art and the ephemeral glamour of fashion, she reclaims discarded mannequins—objects once destined to display fleeting trends—and reimagines them as powerful sculptural statements.
With Crashed Candy, MoRe continues her exploration of identity, renewal, and the ever-shifting landscape of feminine representation in contemporary culture. The work invites viewers to find strength in change, and beauty in what has been left behind.

MoRe creates sculptural works that reveal what lies beneath the surface—forms shaped by transformation, resilience, and quiet renewal. Her chosen medium, the discarded mannequin, is both relic and canvas: once a symbol of commerce and display, now reborn as a vessel for deeper reflection. With vibrant pigments, gilded fissures, and high-gloss finishes, MoRe breathes new life into these forgotten figures, blurring the line between fashion, nature, and memory.
Nature runs through her work not just as a theme, but as a quiet force—veins, roots, and fractures become metaphors for the invisible systems that sustain us. Her perspective was shaped by formative years in Beijing and extended stays in cities like Berlin, Barcelona, and Bangkok, which continue to echo in her visual language. Born as Renate Molsner in Hamburg, she now lives and works between Cologne and Mallorca—creating at the intersection of impermanence and rebirth, urban edge and organic flow.

Genau dort setzt Molsners Kunst an.
