As a student at a private school with an artistic focus, Regina Hermann began drawing in great detail as a teenager, and later added acrylic painting. These were mostly large-format, colorful, abstract color compositions. The colored areas became more and more differentiated, the pigments, aids and structural agents used more and more varied.

As a further means of expression, she discovered soapstone, which with its very individual coloring brings a fascinating and mostly unpredictable component to the sculptures. The raw stone, usually inconspicuous and rather colorless, only shows its wonderful coloring and grain through the final surface treatment and the colors then come into their own impressively.

And finally, oil painting now expands the spectrum of expressive possibilities. Large-format, mostly photorealistic works are created using this technique.
From precise planning to completion, such a picture can take 2-3 months.
