Rebecca Brueder développe une oeuvre polymorphe où elle passe indifféremment de l’installation à la céramique, du dessin à la sculpture. Au coeur de sa production : l’idée de la pierre.
L’artiste, qui a grandi au pied du Mont Ventoux et a réalisé ses études d’art à Tarbes et Nîmes, porte ainsi un regard singulier sur notre monde minéral, cet autre « monde du silence » dont l’état change non seulement du fait de l’homme mais aussi du fait des forces prodigieuses qui se déchaînent à la surface de la Terre (tremblements de terre, éruption volcaniques, tsunami…).
L’oeuvre déployée par Rebecca Brueder porte ainsi un regard à la fois poétique et révélateur sur l’ère de l’Homme (l’anthropocène) qui marque de son empreinte indélébile la croute terrestre, mais également les océans et bientôt le cosmos.
Ses oeuvres sont présentes dans plusieurs collections privées, donc la collection Galila's P.O.C. à Bruxelles.
