▶︎ "The Bells" painting is similar in its structure to my other painting, the "Goblet of Life", composed around deconstructed geometries and playing with light and shadows.

The upper part of the painting is more figurative. it aims to evoque the powerful sound of bells ringing, the exploding reverberation of the hammer hitting and sending resonating shockwaves in the rest of the painting, triggering an almost physical sensation in our bodies.

It is up to the viewer to interpret the rest of the painting and let their imagination wander - Are those Easter bells? A fecund drop of life hitting the World? An evocation of other instruments accompanying a joyous melody? Or on the contrary, are those the bells ringing the "tocsin" announcing a storm coming, as some darker colors on the upper left and back of the painting may suggest.

▶︎ “The Bells” is part of a series of Abstract paintings submitted for the Luxembourg Art Prize 2020, that I am now releasing as Limited Editions (60). A small number of these fine-art prints are made on canvas and embellished by hand with Acrylic paint and medium to give it texture and make each one a unique piece.

▶︎ It is available in multiple dimensions, please reach out for more details!

Born and raised in Paris, France, Raphael began his artistic journey at a young age. He studied sculpture and formal drawing at the Ateliers du Musee des Arts Decoratifs, where he developed a strong foundation in classical techniques.

Raphael's work is characterized by its vigorous drawing, bold use of color, and dynamic compositions. He is particularly interested in capturing the energy and movement of the human figure, and his nudes are some of his most striking pieces.

In 2015, Raphael began working in digital media. He quickly mastered the medium and began creating original and limited edition fine art prints. His prints are highly sought-after by collectors and art lovers alike.

Raphael's work is a unique blend of traditional and digital techniques. He believes that each medium has its own strengths and weaknesses, and he uses them to create art that is both beautiful and technically groundbreaking.

Raphael is committed to pushing the boundaries of digital art. He is constantly experimenting with new techniques and materials, and he is always looking for new ways to express his creativity.

He is also a passionate artist who is committed to creating beautiful and inspiring work. He believes that art has the power to transform lives, and he hopes that his work will touch the hearts and minds of viewers.

With TapestryFineArts, his works are showcased regularly at exhibitions and Art fairs in France and Canada. His works have been selected for multiple exhibitions and have been sold in 18 countries.
