Voyage of one woman that start in Eilat his continuation in voyage around the world and end in Tel Aviv
About 20 huge pictures on canvas of black women stand in center of unique artist Rachel Weitzman exhibition.
As routine in Eilat, exposed Rachel to their beauties and power of the Sudanese women. She associated with them, learned them, heard of their distresses and start her journey to there soul.
She photographed them, the photographs passed to the canvas and began to draw. She created them newly, tried to understand northward their soul the color, she drew them, decorated them, touched in them, added a color and jewel, glimpse and contact and converted every one of them to her only.
Their personal stories of the black women stunned her soul and she decide to go to look for black power around the world. About a year ago she came out a voyage crosses land.
When she come back from her journey, she decided to dedicate her creation to the black women. She chose from within infinity of the photographs about 40 women and drew them newly from these will be presented about 20 in the exhibition.
Her drawings are big, impressive, strong. Impossible to ignore them. They are modern, current, but still kiss into them ethnic effeminate exceptional experience.
