D'après une photo du zoo d'Anvers, le détail d'une volière sous vitrine : un bloc de rocher taillé qui contient en lui-même la facture de l'homme, un morceau d'écorce au centre en guise de perchoir et quelques touffes d'herbes par-ci par-là, pour dire que ceci est naturel, se rattache à l'espèce et préserve un semblant de son essence. Le fond initialement gris est transformé en bleu, profond, outremer. Infinitude autant que frontière, c'est un peu le ciel la nuit, c'est un peu aquatique. Ainsi les éléments de la nature, par l'effet d'une couleur, deviennent objet d'attention ; les fientes sont la traces du corps, la preuve de l'existence d'un être vivant. On comprend qu'il s'agit d'un espace habité, intérieur et " photogénique ".
