Legong Keraton Lasem is the most famous Balinese dance from classical history. Its story comes from The Balinese Kingdom and The King of Gianyar in 19th century. This dance is created by I Dewa Gde Rai Peit. Theory of Legong dances provides the basic knowledge of all Balinese dance movements. The word Legong consists of “Leg” and “Gong”. Leg refers to the dynamic movement of the dancer and Gong to the traditional Balinese instrumental music. According to that, Legong is the combination of dynamic movements and the instrumental music. Legong also has the spirit of holy energy and it gives soul for the dancer to be more charismatic while they are dancing.
Isnpired from Legong Keraton Lasem dance, I am as an Artist, I would like to draw and show up the stories of the dance to the world. Not only the Legong Keraton Lasem but also the other Legong dances. This art is the Portrait of the Legong dancer from 1930s era. I have re-drawing it by my own inspiration and I hope from it could bring the soul of Balinese dancer.

I am Putu Sachslehner, an Balinese artist and lives in Austria. My art's name is Artnyaswari. It came from my single name "Adnyaswari" before I got married. I modified "Ad" as "Art" and became Artnyaswari. As an artist, I use art as a media to express my feeling and my imagination. Media to share inspiration to others. I've been starting my art since 2013, at the time when I was in my study for Visual Comunication Design. After passed my study I try to be more focus for realistic drawing. The realistic drawing for portrait drawing mostly. Learning and practicing more about realism technique. Finally I could find my way as realism portrait artist.
Now, I'm working as portrait realism artist. But not only for it, I would like to drawing feeling, body movement, and cultures. Relate to my interests, I found a new way for my art concept. Folowing my basic realism skill, I have idea to make combination between those things. Cultural restoration is my art concept. The combination from old cultures and human being. For now I am making and focusing for the classic Balinese dances, old Balinese dances either.
Realism drawing on paper is basic drawing. Eventhough it is a basic, but from basic it could be something big. Playing with shadow with pencil and pure white paper is a magic playground to express my feeling. Hopefully, from my art it gives inspiration to be human who lives with the organic self and organic culture.
