O guache (do italiano guazzo) é uma substância que usa um aglutinante (glicerina) ou um solvente gomado à base de água (goma arábica). Cobrente e opaco (ao contrário da aquarela), mistura-se facilmente e dilui-se com água (tinta têmpera). Muito utilizado pelos artistas, o termo guache designa tanto o material, que se encontra em um tubo, quanto o resultado, que se observa na tela.
