This collaborative project is more than just a series of digital illustrations; it’s a journey into the depths of love, nature, and artistic expression. Juliya, an artist whose heart beats in sync with the natural world, captured herself in moments of quiet connection with nature through her selfies. These images, originally naturalistic and authentic, transcended their original form when shared with me, sparking a desire to reinterpret them through digital art.

In this transformation, I found myself not just drawing a picture, but engaging in a dialogue with Juliya’s love for nature—a love so profound that it became contagious, spreading to me and infusing my work with a newfound appreciation for the world around us. Each illustration reflects not only the beauty of Juliya and the landscapes she inhabits but also my emotional response to her connection with nature.

This series asks profound questions: Do we love the person, the picture, or the emotions that the picture evokes within us? In capturing and reinterpreting Juliya’s selfies, the lines between artist, muse, and nature blur, creating a visual and emotional tapestry that is as complex as the relationships it explores. The work is a tribute to the power of love in all its forms—whether it’s love for a person, nature, or the art that binds them together.
