Watercolor is just a procedure and, as such, it allows the artist the way to use watercolor that best allows him to transmit what the artist wants to express.
In this case, Prashant Prabhu uses the best tradition of Chinese painting with a strong influence of Zen art. The ideal for this art is to reach what they call Wu Wei: People who reach Wu Wei feel as if they were not there. doing nothing, while at the same time they may be producing an outstanding work of art.
If I tell all this, it is because what I want to say is that Prashant Prabhu achieves this state that only the great masters of the Zen tradition achieved. He thus manages to transmit to us his sensitivity to the landscape, his capacity for synthesis, and the joy that it produces. the mastery of the procedure: Clean transparencies, grace in the brushstroke, difficult simplicity...
Prashant Prabhu, you are a great watercolorist.
Thank you so much Francisco. That's a very high praise. And I am grateful for the appreciation :-)
