Patrick Dorobisz est un compositeur et un artiste plasticien Français, dont la démarche artistique s’inscrit dans l’interdisciplinarité et les nouvelles technologies.
- En 1975 il est nommé professeur d’arts plastiques à l’Éducation Nationale.
- En 1976 il obtient son diplôme national des Beaux-Arts.
- En 1983 il est admis à l’Institut de Psychoacoustique et de Musique Électronique de Gand en Belgique.
- Il travaillera sous la direction des compositeurs : Lucien Goethals et José Berghmans.
- En 1985 il obtient le prix international de musique électro-acoustique au festival de Bourges. (242 compositeurs et 36 pays représentés)
- En 1987 il obtient à Santiago du Chili, un prix international pour sa vidéo art : «Les Échos Du Silence».
Il est l’auteur de nombreuses pièces pour solistes, musique de chambre, orchestre où il mixe écriture instrumentale et nouvelles technologies. Parallèlement Il poursuit une carrière d’artiste plasticien.
"J'ai toujours été partagé entre ma musique répétitive, ma musique électroacoustique, ma peinture et ma poésie philosophique.
En fait chaque discipline interagit avec l'autre et m'aide à concevoir un propos artistique particulier.
Par exemple ma peinture abstraite géométrique va m'aider à concevoir une organisation sonore électroacoustique, son architecture.
Mes bandes obliques, mon art conceptuel vont m'amener sur le rien ou l'absence de forme musicale ou littéraire.
Ma poésie philosophique ou mes lectures philosophiques vont m'emmener sur des concepts musicaux ou plastiques ".
