Pierre-Yves Rospabé was born in Brest (France) in 1955; it is therefore quite naturally the ocean and the landscapes of the coast of his native Brittany but also of Normandy, in particular Mont Saint-Michel, which arouse his first inspiration: shores with changing lights, Lighthouses, Sails, graphics of colored hulls, reflections... reflect his dual passion for the sea and photography.
But for some time now Paris, its quays, the Eiffel Tower, Pyramid, Montmartre... have also been among his favorite subjects.
After winning the 1st prize in the GEO magazine photo competition (whose jury was chaired by Yann Arthus-Bertrand), his photos appeared in the specialized press: Chasseur d'images, Photo Responses, Sails and Sailboats, but also in bookstores: "Portrait du Littoral de France" published by Castor & Pollux, and 3 books on Mont Saint-Michel, published by Equinoxe, Le Télégramme and Sky Comm.
In 2016 he perfected his skills by continuing his training at "Gobelins, l'école de l'Image"
