Pia Valentin Sørensen

Pia Valentin Sørensen, born 1967. Digital artist from Denmark with special interest in cosmology. Mixes photo montage, digital painting techniques and lately also AI generated images to depict both realistic and imaginative scenarios throughout spacetime, the latter often with a surreal twist.
Other interests include biology, paleontology, anthropology, history and philosophy, all of these are inspirational sources for her art.

Pia Valentin Sørensen is also an author of several poetry and short prose collections, one haiku collection and co-author of an educational book for middle school on how to write haiku. She has participated in numerous poetry and short story anthologies. She is editor of the homepage of The Haiku Group of the Danish Authors Society.

Pia Valentin Sørensen also make short animations.  In 2021 she won 2nd prize in the adult category in the Inspired By Other Worlds Art Contest held by Europlanet Society with the stop motion animation "Random Exoplanet - The Movie".
