White orchids are symbols of purity and innocence. They're given to express hope, respect, or, most often, reverence. White orchids can also be used to mark new beginnings. White Orchids is also the name of a book written by Grace Livingston Hill in 1935. In the Christian romance, White Orchids are seen as a rare and expensive flower representing a disparity between their social status as the world sees them, and their holy status as a flower of purity.
