Philippe Metaireau is a contemporary French artist born in Hyères on the French Riviera. He studied architecture, perspective, drawing, and painting at the École d'Art et d'Architecture de Marseille Luminy, where he earned his master's degree.
Metaireau began his career as an interior designer at Jansen in Paris, which involved extensive travel to the Middle East. His notable projects include the Prince Abdallah's Mosque in Taif, Saudi Arabia, and the Al Bustan Palace Hotel in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.
Transitioning to painting, he specialized in creating large-scale murals and collections for hotels, interior designers, and private clients. His work is showcased in châteaux, churches, mosques, and public buildings across France, Switzerland, Canada, Bali, the Caribbean, and Oman.
Currently, Philippe Metaireau resides in Opio on the French Riviera, where he continues his artistic endeavors in his atelier.
