L’œuvre consiste en un empilement horizontal doublement graduel, de plaques de treillis soudé à maille carrée.
Le plasticien a donné à cet objet sidérurgique, une variabilité qui lui confère une abstraction totale.
L’ensemble forme un parallélépipède de métal ancré au sol par une plaque anthracite. Le système est particulièrement stable et cohérent dans l’espace.
Au centre de la colonne, l’artiste a placé un double plan d’éclairement, dont les halos se fondent dans les parties supérieures et inférieures.
La luminosité s’estompe ainsi aux extrémités.
Au milieu de la tour, là où l’architecture de métal est moins compacte, vingt-quatre fils d’acier verticaux soutiennent la partie supérieure, sans aucun flambement.
La finesse de la structure qui environne le plan lumineux, permet de libérer la source d’éclairage.
