I was born in a hamlet in the countryside in Pas de Calais in 1960, my parents were farmers before taking over a business selling curtains.

I chose after my baccalaureate to follow artistic studies which led me to teaching. Now retired, I was an art teacher for many years.

With my wife, Anne-Catherine Blanc, writer, we lived for 6 years in French Polynesia. It was there that I started painting with pastels again and had my first personal exhibition in Papeete at the 'Olivier- Créations' gallery

In 2008, I started using computers to discover new creative possibilities that I discovered. I then tried to transmit to my students.

This is how a series of digital images began that I called "Remix- Art".

Here is the approach:

Like a DJ who revisits a musical piece, I am a copy-paste of masterpieces. With all the resources of an image studio, I combine, assemble, divert and recompose classic paintings: mixing, in a way.

But, beyond creative effects of digital technology, these collages, “new old paintings”, offer a contemporary, surreal and subversive rereading of classic works.

In 2019, fascinated by images from the Hubble satellite, I #039;created another series that I call

"Galaxie-Pixels" . With digital tools, I compose 2D images from photographs of the cosmos or shots from space telescopes. Then, thanks to digital painting, galaxies, nebulae, stars, supernovas, black holes take on a new poetic or fantastic dimension.

At the same time, I continue to paint with tempera or pastels in my studio in the eastern Pyrenees where I now live.
