L'histoire a-delà de l'image

Une route de montagne la nuit dans le sud de l’Utah, les rafales de neige déferlent dans une tempête blanche, je commence à douter d’arriver à destination. Finalement la chance est de mon côté. Elle le sera de nouveau le lendemain matin à la Ranger’s station pour le tirage au sort des quelques heureux élus qui pourront poursuivre avec une journée de marche jusqu’à un lieux mythique de l’Ouest Américain: “The Wave”. Une œuvre d’Art de la Nature. Un phénomène géologique créant une série de vagues géantes aux couleurs ocres et dorées au milieu desquelles on peut se fondre. J’ai longtemps imaginé ce spectacle et les images que je pourrais créer; c’est la vision abstraite qui m’a conduit dans une conceptualisation géométrique que j’ai enfin pu concrétiser plusieurs années plus tard.
