Alexander Petrunine (born 1974, Russia) emerged in Russia in the early 2000s. Member of a-n Artist society (UK), The International Association of Art (IAA/AIAP) affilated to UNESCO, Artists Union of Russia. The artist listed by Artprice.
He is an visual artist known for his visual narratives realized through elaborate and intricate pen-and-ink drawings. He employs painting, illustration and watercolors within his works. His drawings establish a link between the reality and that imagined by its viewer. In his personal art Alexander frequently uses illustration style techniques. Also medieval culture, from French engravings to old Japanese art, inspires him greatly.
Petrunine has traveled and shown in countries such as Russia, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Lithuania, USA and Serbia. His work has illustrated some magazines, printed on postage stamps and is featured in private and public collections throughout the world inc. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
